Very delicious food at a reasonable price.
It’s like the perfect Mexican restaurant. Clean and friendly but with lease in a strip mall vibe. You come in, stuff your face, and leave. This is truly what you’re looking for. It’s good and everyone is so nice. It’s a 10/10 I’ve been coming here for years .
Monte Alban is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in the tri state. Their cooks put real love into the food and give you an amazing taste of Oaxacan style cuisine. Their menu offers a variety of common Mexican dishes, however I fully recommend taking a more adventurous approach when ordering and branch away from the typical burrito/enchilada/chimichanga plates. You won't be disappointed by their El Alambre, Steak Monte Alban, Huevos dishes and soups. Don't be afraid to spice up your meal with a side of chile torreados or request their special salsas. The staff are nothing short of amazing if you make it a point to get to know them. They always help me practice my spanish each time I come by and they truly enjoy personalizing my orders upon request. Personally, I don't prefer Mexican any where else in the area. It takes a trip to Tulsa or SE Texas to satisfy my taste buds to beat this joint!
I love this place, had 5 kids and 4 adults and we were treated like royalty, been there a couple of times since, same great service and same great food. And a very good price...

Went there last night and the food was so delicious. We had fajitas and Diablo shrimps. Both tasted so good. Diablo Shrimps is very spicy and I loved it. Definitely give it a try if you like spicy food. Although, we were full after eating the delicious food but we still ordered Chimi cheesecake and it was out of this world. Service is excellent. Multiple staff members checked on us from time to time. Definitely give it a try.
For over a year, we dined at Monty Album every day, enjoying the fantastic food and the welcoming atmosphere created by the owner. We even bought gift certificates and recommended the restaurant to others. Unfortunately, we stopped visiting after one of our companions, who understands their language, overheard the gentleman with glasses up front making fun of us. After a few months away, we decided to give it another try tonight, but as soon as we walked in, he started laughing at us again and watched us leave, still laughing. It’s disappointing and hurtful to be treated this way, especially when we’ve always been respectful and generous. While we love the food and appreciate the owner and other friendly staff. UPDATE: I WANT TO STRESS! The owner of this restaurant truly cares about every detail, and it shows! The food is always delicious, prepared with quality ingredients and a lot of heart. Beyond the fantastic dishes, it’s clear the owner goes above and beyond to make this a great place to dine, putting in effort to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service.
We had a late lunch at Monte Alban today. It was a truly amazing meal. This was our first visit. They were very busy and we now understand why. We ordered Pollo broccoli and Camerones Mexicana. The chicken dish was very tasty enhanced by a tasteful blend of spices. It was not "spicy hot" but had a great spiced flavor. The shrimp dish (pictured) also had that same blend of spices without being overdone. It was accompanied by grilled onion, green pepper, and jalapeno pepper. I do not care for hot dishes, but this was perfect. The service was fantastic. We were checked on by 3 different people, including the owner/manager during our meal. We could not have asked for more.
